At the World Climate Action Summit, Winlead joined the UN Cool Coalition, pledging $50M toward developing hydrocarbon-based refrigeration systems and solar-hybrid cold storage for emerging economies.
“Our roadmap includes three pillars,” explained, CEO. “First, phase out HFCs across all condensers and compressors by 2028. Second, deploy 500+ solar-powered containerized cold rooms in food-insecure regions. Third, achieve zero-waste manufacturing through component remanufacturing programs.”
The initiative builds on the company’s existing CO₂ transcritical systems – deployed in 120 European supermarkets – which reduce direct emissions by 99% versus traditional refrigerants.
